Click or Not to Click… What Will Your Audience Do

The definition of Play Rate is basically the number ratio between the number of times a user or potential customer interacts with your video ad divided by the number of times someone sees your ad (aka the number of impressions).

Play Rate can be used to see how well your audience engages with your opening image for the Click-to-Play video ad. If your ad has a low play rate, you can try making more appealing/engaging opening images or video thumbnail with a stronger call to action.

For example if your product is Old Spice, instead of having the Old Spice logo show up as the image for your video, have it show the OldSpice Guy instead. People recognize the Old Spice Guy and could be more likely to click the vid if it’s showing him.
